Making Champions On and Off Court
1. Purpose
This Code provides a clear statement of the standards of behaviour and conduct expected of anyone involved with ICC Table Tennis Pty Ltd (“ICC TT”, “the Company”). It is designed to help ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive, and high-integrity environment, consistent with our values of discipline, integrity, results and friendship.
2. Scope
This Code applies to all directors, staff, coaches, volunteers, contractors, athletes, members, parents/guardians, spectators or anyone engaged with ICC TT in any capacity, whether on Company premises, at competitions, training sessions, travel, or via social media and other communications.
3. Core Principles
- Respect – Treat everyone with dignity and respect.
- Integrity – Act honestly, transparently and ethically.
- Fairness & Sportsmanship – Promote fairness and respect rules.
- Safety & Well-being – Ensure physical and emotional safety.
- Accountability – Take responsibility for actions.
- Inclusion – Value diversity and welcome all participants.
4. Standards of Behaviour
- Uphold high standards of personal conduct.
- Respect rights and dignity of others.
- Maintain positive, inclusive team culture.
- Abide by sport rules and ICC TT policies.
- Avoid unsupervised one-on-one contact with minors.
- Report misconduct or welfare risks.
- Do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or abuse.
- Use facilities responsibly.
- Behave responsibly when travelling or representing ICC TT.
5. Coaches and Officials
- Lead by example and model values.
- Ensure safe, inclusive training environments.
- Refer athletes to professionals when necessary.
- Maintain professional relationships with athletes.
- Ensure equipment and venues meet safety standards.
6. Athletes, Club Members & Participants
- Respect opposition players, officials, and rules.
- Accept decisions of referees/umpires.
- Avoid derogatory or offensive behaviour.
- Uphold clean sport values.
7. Parents, Carers & Spectators
- Support ICC TT values and objectives.
- Avoid abusive language or behaviour.
- Encourage participation for enjoyment and development.
- Respect venue rules and equipment.
- Raise concerns through proper channels.
8. Breaches and Discipline
Any alleged breach of this Code will be taken seriously and may trigger ICC TT’s disciplinary procedures. Possible consequences include warnings, suspension, termination, removal from competition, or referral to external authorities.
9. Review & Acknowledgement
This Code will be reviewed regularly (at least every two years). All individuals covered must sign an acknowledgement form confirming compliance.
